M.Tech (Electronics and Communication Engineering)

M.Tech (Electronics and Communication Engineering) program in Electronics and Communication is a two-year regular program to teach the students upcoming new subjects which include the study of the Design, Research and Analysis. The students get an exposure to industries and research labs so that they are well prepared to work as technologists and research engineers. After completing their M.Tech, the students can lead the industry and the research work in the field of Electronics and Communication.

Program Educational Objectives:

  1. The Students are guided to become right input for the Research organizations to pursue a career in R&D.
  2. Students are trained to become qualified faculty to teach the students of the undergraduate course in ECE.
  3. The Students are trained to excel in their career by being instrumental in the growth and success of the organization with which they are associated.
  4. Students are groomed to work professionally in this global and rapidly changing world.

The scope of Employment:

Post graduates of ECE are motivated to pursue their career in R&D sector of the private and public organizations. They also take the opportunity to work as lecturers in the engineering colleges with some of them joining the Ph.D. course to accentuate their teaching skills.

Public Sectors:

Students also join government organizations like Electronics Corporation of India, Power Grid, BEL, BHEL, DRDO, ISRO, SAIL, IES, UPSC, IOCL and State Public Service Commissions and Government Educational Institutions.

Private Sectors:

After getting an M.Tech degree in ECE, the students are able to join companies and organizations in private sectors like Samsung, LG, Panasonic, ST microelectronics, Cadence, TCS, Reliance, Infosys, etc.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate must have the qualifying degree as a regular student from any university recognized by UGC / Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with minimum 50% marks (47.5% marks in the case of SC/ST) in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates with a valid GATE score.
1st Preference:
B.E. / B. Tech. or equivalent degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Electronics and Telecom Engineering /Electronics Engineering with 50% marks in aggregate.

2nd Preference in the order:
(a) B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics Instrumentation and Control Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation and Control Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering /Control Engineering with 50% marks in aggregate; (b) Biomedical Engineering /Mechatronics with 50% marks in aggregate.

3rd Preference in the order:
(a)  M.Sc. (Electronics) with 50% marks in aggregate; (b) M.Sc (Physics with specialization in Electronics) with 50% marks in aggregate with valid GATE score in Electronics and Comm. Engineering / Electronics Engineering.

7. Reserved Category Certificate
8. Proof of Residence in case of reserved category (SC, BC, ESM, GEN, etc.)
9. Students who belong to minority community must mention their category (Muslim, Sikh, Jain, Persian, Christian, Buddhist, etc.)
