B-Pharmacy

This course teaches students how to prepare and dispense medicine and make the students convey drug-related information to the public. Pharmacy enables graduates to clear doubts about the prescriptions given by the doctors and can give a more valuable piece of advice on the health care programs.

Pharmacy graduates are capable of evaluating drugs and drug use pattern.
In the western countries, we understand diagnosis of the patients are done by the Doctors but the Pharmacists decide the medicines and their dosage. Therefore,  B.Pharma students have an important role and can earn attractive remuneration and can occupy strategic positions.

In the fast developing world, research and Development (R & D) in the pharmaceutical industry is progressing and advancing at a very high speed, which calls for pharmacy graduates with an attractive financial package in spite of the economic crisis prevailing now.

Eligibility Criteria:

The entry to 1st year is purely on merit basis as per the rules prescribed by the State Government of Haryana. For admission to 1st year, the candidate should have passed 10+2 examination from recognized Board/University or any examination recognized as equivalent thereto by Pt. B. D. Sharma, University of health Sciences, Rohtak with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Math and English individually in qualifying examinations. The candidate belonging to Schedule Caste/Scheduled Tribes and other Backwards Classes (OBCs), the marks obtained shall be at least 40%.

For lateral Entry, the candidate should have passed Diploma in Pharmacy course of a minimum duration of 2 years from Haryana Board of Technical Education or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in aggregate of all the semesters/year.

NOTE: As per PCI letter No. 14-212006-PCI-5763-6337 dated 13.06.2007 candidates having Senior Secondary School Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, Biology conducted by National Open School and Open School of any State and pre-university examination (New Scheme) of Andhra University are not eligible for admission to B. Pharm.

2. Character Certificate
3. 10th Passing Certificate and Mark sheet
4. 12th Passing Certificate and Mark sheet
5. Migration Certificate
6. Reserved Category Certificate
7. Proof of Residence in case of reserved category (SC, BC, ESM, GEN, etc.)
8. Students who belong to minority community must mention their category (Muslim, Sikh,
Jain, Persian, Christian, Buddhist, etc.)
